IS WEST BETTER THAN EAST?
When I travelled to Vancouver in Canada I was fully impressed about this country. Everything looked well organized, peacefully and just alright. In contrast, my imagination of China was completely the other way around. I thought China would be pretty violent, maybe because of the government. Another picture in my mind was an exploding Chinese population. All the more I was surprised when I got some data about these countries. Although China has a high number of births, the population is decreasing and the rate of intention homicide is pretty low. Whereas in Canada there is a very low birth rate but there is a high level of homicide. So, is China a nicer country than its reputation?!

ReplyDeleteI also always thought that Canada must me safer and probably a better country to life but your post shows me that is not right. Maybe I hve to think over that agein...

Especially the elements and symbols with which you display the data are very nice to look at!
In reference to your question: I think that China is defenitly a nicer country than its reputation. There are a lot of stereotypes for china, which I think has a lot to do with their governmental system.
But I also didn´t know that there is such a big difference between Canada and China.
Wow, this is really a surprising fact! And one can immediately see and understand the fact that Canada has a higher homicide rate than China because you created a very clear and creative bar chart. I like the fact that you used the these icons and not only simple bars!
